Pricing
We believe that access to quality, and affordable, legal advice and services is a fundamental part of the principle of access to justice and the rule of law.
Our experience in a family-operated small business has underscored the importance of providing different pricing options for individuals and all businesses, especially for small to medium businesses. This provides you with reassuring certainty of legal costs. It also allows some small to medium businesses which otherwise would have been concerned about their ability to afford a lawyer, with access to quality legal advice and services.
Fixed Fee
A fixed fee option is available for matters with a clear scope, such as contract review, conveyancing, and simple wills.
This option provides certainty of legal costs and, provided the scope of the task remains the same, the matter will be completed for the fixed fee.
Monthly Retainer
A monthly retainer option is available specifically to help ensure that businesses, especially small to medium businesses, have regular access to quality legal advice and services, while remaining within the monthly budget that works for their business.
Under this option, we sit down with you and analyse your business, and its current and anticipated legal needs. We then agree on a monthly retainer rate and Stonebraker Lawyers act as your (off-site) in-house counsel, providing legal opinions, and drafting, reviewing, and settling contracts. Regardless of how much or how little you use us in a given month, your monthly legal bill will remain the same.
Hourly Rate
The standard hourly rate option is available, whereby our fees correspond to the amount of time we spend on a matter based on six-minute intervals.
This option is particularly suited for unpredictable matters, such as litigation, protracted commercial negotiations, and matters where the scope is likely to change.
